Polaroid Giveaway!

In anticipation of the arrival of my new Big Girl camera I am feeling like I want to pass on a little kindness. That and patience never was a virtue of mine. Thanks to my cat knocking my DSLR off the desk and hearing it crack and pop as it hit I have been without a proper digital camera for over a month. I'm going stir crazy. So how about a giveaway? Because really who doesn't love giveaways?

In my thrifting adventures and because of very generous gifts from family I have many Polaroid cameras. In doing some inventory today I realized that no two are alike except for one pair. So I'd like to pass one along to you. If you are wanting to add to your collection or just want to try instant photography for the first time I would love for you to enter. Simply leave a comment below on why you would love to give this guy a home. I'll let the random number generator pick a winner on the end of Monday the 7th.

The best part: it works! I tested it just to make sure!

Update! The lovely folks at Impossible have offered to send a pack of PX680 film to the winner!

  2. OK, I totally blame you and someone else we know for my own new pola addiction, and therefore I can't even STOP myself from entering this!! The fact that it was loved by you would make it all the sweeter and you'd certainly be seeing it again when we play together this summer! :) It'll be a lucky duck who wins this baby, and your generosity is both wonderful and nothing new to me!!!

  7. I have been loving Polaroid Photography for a long time, I have been trying all kinds of different techniques trying to make them digitally but it is hard to make them look like the real thing... so I would love so much to have and test the real thing, thank you so much for your generosity :).

  10. What a wonderful idea! I love Polaroid cameras, and used to own several. When my ex moved out a few years ago, they all mysteriously vanished with her. I haven't been able to find suitable replacements since then, and newer products like the Instax just don't quite cut the mustard.

  11. I have always wanted to use a "Close Up" camera and it would work wonderful with my stash of Polaroid 600 film.

  13. I would love to give this guy a home because I gave away my only Polaroid camera to my boyfriend's 9-year-old brother who claims he wants to be a photographer like me when he grows up. I thought the best way for him to start learning was the old fashioned way - with a Polaroid! The best part was the look on his face when he opened the box for Christmas and immediately went through 3 boxes of Impossible film. Now, I am saving up again to find/buy another, but I'll be more than willing to take this one off your hands!

  18. Oh I would absolutely love to win this! I never seem to have as good of thrifting luck in finding these guys. I have a Fujilfim instax right now and I love the excitement instant photos bring as you wait for the picture to appear and how nothing ever really comes out perfect. I have never shot with a Polaroid before and this would be an awesome way to get started.

  22. So generous! And, oh my, it would look so good with my copy of "Instant Love" that has been awaiting my very first polaroid. My word of intent for 2013 is nurture, and yes, I could certainly nurture my creative spirit with this.

  29. Once at a garage sale I found one of these with film still in it.... but only one very expired exposure, so my hopes were dashed and I was crestfallen.

This would be in a good home with me because I could passive agressively demean the other camera for being such a disappointment whilst praising this one for coming with a full package of non-expired film.
