In anticipation of the arrival of my new Big Girl camera I am feeling like I want to pass on a little kindness. That and patience never was a virtue of mine. Thanks to my cat knocking my DSLR off the desk and hearing it crack and pop as it hit I have been without a proper digital camera for over a month. I'm going stir crazy. So how about a giveaway? Because really who doesn't love giveaways?
In my thrifting adventures and because of very generous gifts from family I have many Polaroid cameras. In doing some inventory today I realized that no two are alike except for one pair. So I'd like to pass one along to you. If you are wanting to add to your collection or just want to try instant photography for the first time I would love for you to enter. Simply leave a comment below on why you would love to give this guy a home. I'll let the random number generator pick a winner on the end of Monday the 7th.
The best part: it works! I tested it just to make sure!
Oh my gosh! I would LOVE to win this! I've never tried instant photography but would love to learn. my new year's resolution was to "create more often" so this would definitely help out :)
ReplyDeletethanks for offering such a great giveaway, & happy new year!
OK, I totally blame you and someone else we know for my own new pola addiction, and therefore I can't even STOP myself from entering this!! The fact that it was loved by you would make it all the sweeter and you'd certainly be seeing it again when we play together this summer! :) It'll be a lucky duck who wins this baby, and your generosity is both wonderful and nothing new to me!!!
ReplyDeleteCelina girl, you are so fantastically generous. How did you know that I needed a new Pola? I love that I get to compete with the lovely Rebecca for this giveaway. xoxo ;) Love you both like crazy!
ReplyDeleteI just have to say, Celina, what a groovy idea this is! I would love to have a working Polaroid! I have literally hundreds of digital photos that I never get around to printing. (Not sure why...)
ReplyDeleteGood luck, everyone!

ReplyDeletelove and light
ps thanks kitty kat!
Celina, I'd love to win this because I really miss the hands-on feel of holding an image in my hand...plus I love the smell of Polaroid chemicals.

I have been loving Polaroid Photography for a long time, I have been trying all kinds of different techniques trying to make them digitally but it is hard to make them look like the real thing... so I would love so much to have and test the real thing, thank you so much for your generosity :).
ReplyDeleteSigrun.
I would this! As a kid (before the digital revolution) this was all we used and I'd love to add this to my my camera collection. Thank you for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteApril
SO much Fun. My hubby and I are just now getting into instant photography and would love to bring this into our family:)
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Jennifer
(Oh and new follower:)
What a wonderful idea! I love Polaroid cameras, and used to own several. When my ex moved out a few years ago, they all mysteriously vanished with her. I haven't been able to find suitable replacements since then, and newer products like the Instax just don't quite cut the mustard.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to use a "Close Up" camera and it would work wonderful with my stash of Polaroid 600 film.
ReplyDeletePolaroid Rocks! I hope to be lucky

I would love to give this guy a home because I gave away my only Polaroid camera to my boyfriend's 9-year-old brother who claims he wants to be a photographer like me when he grows up. I thought the best way for him to start learning was the old fashioned way - with a Polaroid! The best part was the look on his face when he opened the box for Christmas and immediately went through 3 boxes of Impossible film. Now, I am saving up again to find/buy another, but I'll be more than willing to take this one off your hands!
ReplyDeleteWhat a generous way to start the new year! (I'll give it a good home!)
ReplyDeleteI think the kids and I could have fun with the Polaroid - thanks for putting this contest out there
ReplyDeleteVery kind of you!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win the camera.
muak!

My spectra camera that belonged to my grandparents finally passed on. I would love to replace is with this one step polaroid. It be just in time for my birthday! I've never shot with one before so it would be a welcome addition to my little camera family.
ReplyDeleteOh I would absolutely love to win this! I never seem to have as good of thrifting luck in finding these guys. I have a Fujilfim instax right now and I love the excitement instant photos bring as you wait for the picture to appear and how nothing ever really comes out perfect. I have never shot with a Polaroid before and this would be an awesome way to get started.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this! I have a different Polaroid camera and LOVE it, I have been on the hunt to expand my collection of instant cameras (normally I shoot regular film) and this looks perfect!
ReplyDeleteI have never had a Polaroid camera.....and would love to have this to use for putting pictures in my art journals. I would give it a very loving home!!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and thanks for this wonderful opportunity. I have never used a Polaroid and would so love to. I do have a Canon t2i and a Holga but have been feeling that i need to take my photography in a different direction and polaroid photography would definitely help me out in that regard!
ReplyDeleteSo generous! And, oh my, it would look so good with my copy of "Instant Love" that has been awaiting my very first polaroid. My word of intent for 2013 is nurture, and yes, I could certainly nurture my creative spirit with this.
ReplyDeleteI have thoroughly enjoyed the instant photos that you've shared and would absolutely love to try my hand at it too!! Thanks for your generosity! :)
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this camera. I have be wanting to get into Polaroid butt didn't know where to start. Thanks for the chance to win a camera loved by you.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure I did this right since it does say who I am (@gashuttergirl on Twitter). Thanks again for the chance.
DeleteThe last polaroid camera I had was one of the ones which took the tiny picture but put a colored frame around the picture. I still have it but the pictures were just to small. I would love to try a real polaroid camera. thank you so much for this wonderful giveaway:-) tiredmommyspinning at gmail dot com
ReplyDeletenothing bring life to a party more than a insta picture camera.
ReplyDeleteI've recently become a homeless 16 year old, and I am now living with my grandparents. All I have that is of any importance to me is my Polaroid camera. I only have a few packs of peel apart film now, I would love to try out a new Polaroid camera.

Once at a garage sale I found one of these with film still in it.... but only one very expired exposure, so my hopes were dashed and I was crestfallen.
ReplyDeleteThis would be in a good home with me because I could passive agressively demean the other camera for being such a disappointment whilst praising this one for coming with a full package of non-expired film.
