Monday Musings

Frosty Fall Colors

5 things I love about this time of year:
  • Getting to curl up on the couch with a blanket and a movie or a book
  • Hot tea any time of day
  • The bright red color of our Maple tree in the back
  • Sneaking Halloween candy before it is time to hand it out
  • The crispness of the morning frost, weaving its beautiful intricate pattern on the Earth
What about you?

    2. Other than watching the trees on my street change colors... Food. Braises, chilis, soups, stews, etc. Then curling up on my couch, with my bowl of goodness, a book and maybe some spiked cider...

    3. the changes are much more subtle here in california. and while i do miss this time of year in the north east, i do love the change of light, especially on the water.

and the sneaking of halloween candy...yeah, that. :)

    7. I live in Washington State and winter is creeping up on us. The leaves are falling fast and the snow will be flying soon. Which reminds me, I need to go on a photowalk this weekend to capture more beautiful fall colors.

    8. Hi Celina, It appears we are in the Soulodge together this time around. I am peeking in at everyone's blogs. I wanted to tell you...my husband and I both took this class about 18 years ago. It has been a gift to travel this path. We took our class at Umass Stress Reduction Clinic. Nice to meet you!

    9. Hah! I thought not getting candy until the day of Halloween would stop my sneaking. Forgot about all the goods that come home afterwards and wait here all day while the kids are away and ony I am here to know what goes on! I LOVE this time of year too. It always reminds me that it's okay to slow down, hang out on the sofa and knit, watch movies and take naps. Soup simmering all day. Hot chocolate after playing outside. Playing games by the fire. Getting to wear jeans and layers. And tea, tea, tea. Unfortunately it's still not here yet. I will have to live vicariously through you until mid Dec or Jan.
